Geography
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 1,212 square miles (3,140 km²), of which 785 square miles (2,030 km²) is land and 428 square miles (1,110 km²) (35.3%) is water. Rivers and streams include the Caloosahatchee River, the Imperial River, the Estero River, Hendry Creek, and Orange River.
